Wet

Never recalled ever got such wet wet days leading up to Lunar New Year. It seems the sky is 'crying' ... for 'who' - I am not so sure thou....maybe, for me cos so far, things are still status quo for me.
The world will be ushering in the Year of the Golden Rabbit in 3 days' time...while it is 'golden', i think the year ahead aint that smooth sailing as everyone would hope so. It is certainly a tough year for those born in the year of the rooster. So, I must really lie low and yet be on my toes.

Shiver Shiver

Everytime, I read such news ...I shiver in fright.
No more of such days again where I have to ...

谁还记得 是谁先说永远的爱我
以前的一句话 是我们以后的伤口过了太久
没人记得当初那些温柔
我和你手牵手 说要一起走到最后

6am

This is the wake-up time for me, starting this year..and many more years to come.
Felt so sleepy in the morning cos ...I am still getting into the habit of sleeping early.

Better

A colleague in school sent us the following greeting. Tot it sounds meaningful.
"Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man."
It is certainly true that we should strive to rid our vices, make friends, and be a better person. This is certainly a reminder to me ... I should be a better man, better husband and a better father.

Over 40

When one is over 40, the outlook in life differ drastically from others:
- we tend to place greater emphasis on our health.
- we tend to worry that we may not be able to realise our dreams (do what we want to do) and thus, expedite to achieve it.
- we tend to start thinking (and planning) for our 'retirement'.
- we tend to want to 'slow down' a little to smell the flowers.
- we tend to be 'less competitive' to want to surge ahead.
- we tend to 'look for/remain in a job' that we can possibly retire.

Again, thatz me. But we also know that for some or many, life begins at 40 and they are all out to 'cheong and cheong to the top'

Grown up

When one is single, we could spent 'countdown' with our family and/or our friends.
When one is married, we are likely to do so with our family. That's the way it has been for me for some 10 years. I am not complaining ... cos I know I need to learn to be contented, and be appreciative.
Going forward in 2011, I know I need to make effort in achieving what I want to. I am certain that I will be a "better and fitter" person. In 2010, I have attempted several 'firsts' though some were not successful/pleasant.
I wish all my family, friends, and readers a happy and healthy year ahead!
