Young Fathers

I have always thought that I look sort of young to be a father, and I am proud of myself for being so ... However, on a train ride yesterday, I saw even younger fathers ...haha....now, don't admit old also cannot. Looking back, I wonder how we made through the children' growing years ... it must have been my wife who 'has been' with the kids since I am not as involved as I try to be....

Also, I realise that one cannot forever try to hide one's age (and look/act young), cos some parts of our body will give us away - neck lines, eye wrinkles, hands ... thus, instead of trying to hide, maybe we should feel glad that 'we have been through it' and be happy that we are wiser and more matured. That way, we can live life more positively.

I was wondering why not so young ladies like to wear scarfs ...haha....to hide their neck lines...hmmm..... I think ample moisturising helps, so, use lotsa moisturer on our skin.

Busy Week

This has been a busy week for me, and I believe so for most parents with school-going children. Cos, it is the SA2 week ...and as we all know lah...parents are more anxious than their children re the exams, revision, preparation etc...haha....how I wish I can also take leave to help my girl with her revisions ... as somebody will say "we also need you in school"...haha....maybe and hopefully, i can then be able to take leave to help my boy who will be in P1 next year, while my wife attends to the girl.

Sometimes, I wonder... have parents 'over-done/show' their anxiety and push their children 'too hard' so much so that they get so 'stressed out'...and subsequently show manifestation in their behaviour - lying, falling ill, ...even to the extent of suicide thoughts. This will be sad. Some of us may recall our schooling days...then, life seems to be different ...i dun recall my parents 'pushing' me...maybe I am self-motivated.

I am guilty too....cos this week, we were ferrying our girl to her tutorial class for extra lessons in the evening so as to acquire some tips/revision... hope she is not stressed out (dun think she does lah, cos she still plays a lot with the brother when we are home from the class)...anyway, hope she clears her exams.

Song 9 [Chinese] : 爱的代价

张艾嘉 is certainly one of my favourite and respected celebrity. She is a renowned director, actress and singer. She has directed a number of good films since the 80s. 爱的代价 is one of the songs by her that I like very much - It talks about 'price of love' in literal translation, and the lyrics captured the essence/feel of the adolescence/puppy love. [sigh...I can't sing this song in karaoke cos of the pitching ...]

Too old to be a Prince?

Have been reading this particular blog BaGua TV... and there was much discussion on veteran actors vs newbies and Princesses/Princes.

Since young, i have been a big fan of TV, radio, entertainment blitz, ge tai etc... and my mum said that cos when she was pregnant with me then, she watched too much ge tai and thus, i am as such....hmmm.....

How I wish I have an opportunity to work in the entertainment industry but sadly I don't thou I have tried. Again, some may feel that given my 'shy and innocent' personality, that industry is not for me. well, ... this childhood dream of mine lingers on .....

When I watch TV these days, and see the upcoming princes and princesses ...I thought - what if I get the chance and be in the TV box...how will the audience feel about my presence - acting/performance? will there be critiques? .... I am sure there will be ...

I can get emo when I hear and like a particular song - the well-penned lyrics and the blended music... Of course, there are songs that piss one off ...that aside, I have always fancy cantonese songs cos they are just so well-written and sung ...and so so touching.

These are my two recent favourites - a) 木纹 by 何韵诗 (Anita Mui's only lady disciple) ...dun really fancy her thou but this song is superb!
b) 富士山下 by 陈奕迅 (Eason) ....a super talented singer of this century!

This is a nice song by 苏打绿. Like it when I first heard it on radio (dun tune in day in/out) but had no idea who was the singer...finally found out and din know that it has been sung and played for more than 2 years liao. It is a sweet, lovely song for couples...the beautiful lyrics say it all.

Health Tip 4 : Eat more cereal

I was on MC today...complex problem, indigestion->constipation, saw another doc again and she advised that I eat cereal for breakfast. Why? Cos, cereal is a good source of fibre, and it helps in moving bowels. I realise that my GK is very poor ...sigh... For those who know me, I munch a lot of bread in the morning, now I know that cereal is a good source of fibre for me, someone who needs more besides more vegetables and fruits ...haha

No more yellow noodles, yam cake for the time being as they have caused me to be unwell. This is the third time that this situation occur this year liao...hope it is nothing really serious such as colorectal tumour or cancer, and not caused by undue stress (at work).

Cheaky was barred. Cheaky is sick.

There was a silence cos i was told that this can be a spam blog, thus, closed for investigation. Now, seems OK liao and I have my first reader, R_Anita who commented. Thank you.

Cheaky is sick cos he is too 'greedy' - ate yellow noodle in mee rubus, and yam cake....indigestion...sob sob....again, ate becos someone bought for me ... pai sei lah, what an obliging man Cheaky is ...haha ... I need to learn how 'to put my foot down and say 'NO THANKS' at times.

World Stock Markets are tumbling down like Jack and Jill, and Cheaky is affected too....have to 'drink water and eat air' for the next couple of months liao lor...sob sob.

Will stay positive cos must think long-term, the song below is one of my favourite Chinese songs to brighten up my day...

Health Tip 3 : Eat Yogurt

Had 2 doses of antibotics 2 months back for a viral cough ....sigh...doc said that after the dosages, need to take yogurt (to build up the body).
Din do so cos, I am not a yogort person ....tried to take more fruits and vegetables.
Caught some germs again last Sun...now, on the tipping verge of falling ill again...can sense the phlegm coming ...sigh..... hopefully, it will go off by itself...trying to get it off with more water and vegetables....
Virus is in the air, it seems. So, must take care.

Health Tip 2 : Catch your beauty sleep

You probably would have heard or know that we need to sleep early so that our body can rest and for our liver to be repaired...ideal time is by 10pm to go to bed.
Beautiful people will not miss their 'beauty sleep' ...some people may think that by sleeping late and 'making up for it by sleeping longer' may not necessarily work .... but some people really have no choice cos, they have to work in the wee hours.
For me, I can 'huo qi' (fire) burning and cause me to fall ill, if I do not sleep early (by midnight) for a long period of time.

I better go and sleep now...

This song needs no introduction as it captured the world by its popularity and topping the hits/karaoke charts. Many singers have done their renditions...each has their strength. A simple love song with analogy to how "mice love rice".
